Since 1971 CMI has been providing quality design/build services in the Southern Maryland, DC and Virginia area. CMI General Contractors has provided high quality commercial design/build services for clients all over Southern Maryland, longer than any other commercial Design/Builder in the region. Our staff has over 300 years of combined construction experience and are second to none. Our typical design/build projects have included office buildings, religious & educational facilities, health & fitness centers, retail centers, warehouses, medical facilities, convenience stores, restaurants, fire stations, apartments, automotive sales, service facilities, build-outs and more.

The vast majority of CMI’s projects are of a design/build nature, employing our own highly experienced in-house architects and project managers. CMI is located in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, centrally located to our service area of St. Mary’s, Charles, and Calvert Counties. CMI’s leadership consists of, Charles W. McPherson, Robert A. Brough, Henry S. Matthews, Steven P. Hancock, and Jerome (Jerry) Jochum, all of whom are actively involved in the day to day operations of the business.
