Matthew M. Martin (Matt) recently joined CMI in September of 2025 as the Chief Financial Officer.  Matt has a broad-based background in business and accounting across many industries. Matt started his professional career at Arthur Andersen as an auditor and subsequently moved into Forensic Accounting. In 2005, Matt joined the St. Charles Companies (Southern Maryland’s largest Master Planned Community), serving as their Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and ultimately President. In his role as President, Matt led the sale of all remaining residential land assets of St. Charles to LENNAR Corporation in July 2017. Matt subsequently served as Chief Financial Officer for Energetics Technology Center, Inc., an Indian Head-based non-profit energetics research and development company.  Matt graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Messiah College and holds inactive Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner licenses. Matt serves/has served on numerous other non-profit boards, including the Charles County Chamber of Commerce, the Charles County Military Alliance Council, Potomac Heights Baptist Church, Friends of Maxwell Hall, ARC of Southern Maryland, and the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center Foundation.
